Oversight Review Reveals VA’s Camp Lejeune Claims Processing Needs Improvement

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs regional staff incorrectly processed 37 percent of disability compensation for Camp Lejeune-related claims. These errors resulted in denied claims and underpayment to veterans affected by exposure to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune.
