- Medical Malpractice – Against health care providers = must file within 3 yrs. of date of act giving rise to injury OR within 2 yrs. from date the injury was or should have been discovered; may not file more than 7 yrs. from date of act giving rise to injury. Actions based on insertion of foreign object = within 2 yrs. of date that object was or should have been discovered (if object not discovered within 3 yr. med. mal statute of limitations period)
- Product Liability – 3 years after suffering
- Wrongful Death – 2 years after date of death
- Survival – Within two years from date of issuance of letters of administration

Medical Malpractice – Vermont does not limit damages awards in medical malpractice cases.
Product Liability – Vermont does not limit damages awards on product liability cases.
Pharmaceutical cases - $1 million limitation on all damages
