Connecticut statutes of limitations
- For negligence – 3 years
- For medical malpractice – 2 years from date of injury
- For product negligence – 3 years after suffering injury or date injury was or should’ve been found
- For wrongful death – 2 years of (D.O.D)-*no more than 5 from date of the act
- For survival – 2 years
Connecticut doesn’t have caps on damage awards.
Conn. attorney caps has a sliding scale, not to exceed 1/3 of first $300,000; 25% of next $300,000; 20% of next $300,000; 15% of next $300,000; and 10% of damages exceeding $1.2 million
Connecticut minor tolling- Connecticut has no statute that extends the limitations period in favor of minors.
