Caps on Damages in Colorado
For Medical Malpractice, award of noneconomic damages in medical malpractice cases may not exceed $300,000. The total award of damages may not exceed $1 million.
For Product Liability Cap Damages - $1 million total limit on all damages; $300,000 noneconomic limitation.
For Pharmaceutical Cases, $1 million total limit on all damages; $300,000 noneconomic limitation.

In Colorado, the statute of limitations for:

• Negligence is 2 years
• Medical Malpractice – 2 years from date of injury
• Product Liability – 2 years from date of injury.
• Wrongful Death – vehicle=3 yrs (D.O.D) others=2 yrs of (D.O.D)
• Survival – 1 year

In Colorado there are no limitations on attorney’s fees
Minors Tolling: Except in cases of wrongful death, the statute of limitations begins to run on the minor's 18th birthday
