FDA Approves New Device for CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery

Cardica Inc. said it received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market its medical device C-Port xA in the United States. The C-Port xA, which is the next generation of the company's C-Port system, automates the attachments of blood vessels and grafts, such as those in coronary artery bypass graft surgeries.
The C-Port xA system is currently marketed in Europe.(Reuters)
