A West Virginia woman filed a lawsuit against the local transportation company after a slip and fall on water that had accumulated on a bus. According to the slip and fall lawsuit, the bus she was riding came to a stop. As she got up and moved toward the exit, she allegedly slipped on an accumulation of snow and water in the aisle. The victim fell, fracturing her left leg.
She claims the bus company was negligent in maintaining the bus in a safe manner. According to the lawsuit, she suffered physical pain and mental and emotional anguish. She seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
