Q. Who will pay for my medical bills after I am injured in a pedestrian accident?
A. This can vary depending on your insurance situation, but if both parties are insured have exchanged insurance information after an accident you have the right to file a claim against the motor vehicle driver’s insurance policy. You may also be able to collect from your own policy under the full or limited tort option.
In a hit and run accident you will need to file a claim under your uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage.
If you carry no automobile insurance you may be eligible to file a claim under the Philadelphia Assigned Claims Plan.
