What is the problem with ReNu Moisture Loc solution that has caused so many injuries? According to doctors that our ReNu Lawyers have consulted, the problem is that most lens solutions "fungal—static" which means they do not promote fungal growth. Some solutions will even hold fungal growth in check (retard fungal growth).

With ReNu solution, there are at least two distinct possibilities that a ReNu Lawyer may prove in lawsuits involving ReNu moisture loc. What are the injuries alleged to be caused by ReNu with Moisture Loc? In order to prove these ReNu lawsuits, a couple of things are becoming clear about damages. First, there are those people who developed a fungal infection but thankfully have been given an anti-fungal and have improved. In this situation, it is clear that the fungus was the problem since treatment with anti-fungal medication caused the condition to get better.

However, there is a more serious type of injury where a person was started on antibiotics and then fungal was added and improved after antifungal was added but did not improve on the antibiotic. In those cases, due to the delay of receiving anti-fungal treatment, the condition may be worse. Again, in these situations, it probably was a fungus, since the condition improved only after introduction of anti-fungal medication.

Worse yet are those Moisture Loc injuries where the doctor finds fluffy or feather like infiltrates. These infiltrates are fungus. In the most serious cases, a corneal transplant would be required. Some of these are due to corneal scarring and other injuries include irregular astigmatism being diagnosed after the keratitis and/or within a reasonably short time frame thereafter.
