Boston Scientific Cuts Jobs Because of Recalls

Boston Scientific Corp will eliminate 500 to 600 jobs from its cardiac rhythm division, with most of the cuts coming from a Minnesota office that it acquired in its $27 billion acquisition of Guidant Corp. last spring.
The job cuts affect about 2 percent of the Boston Scientific 29,000-person workforce and will take effect in the first three months of 2007.
