Actonel side effects will not only affect women. Actonel is now marketed to men!

As marketing goes, few can beat Procter & Gamble. An now P&G is marketing Actonelm its osteoporosis drug, to men. Whether the drug is needed on the market or not (tehre are already plenty of bisphosphonates out there, with a bevy of side effects, the FDA has approved Actonel's once-a-week version to help increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis.

This is news. Before, Actonel was only approved to treat the disease in postmenopausal women and in men with steroid-induced osteoporosis. The approval is another step forward for Actonel, the only pharmaceutical product among the 22 P&G brands with more than $1 billion in annual sales. (Enquirer)
