Bone Drug Alert - Fosamax harming bone density

Fosamax, used to enhance bone density, may have risks harming bone density. Patients taking this drug may develop ONJ (ostenecrosis of the jaw) according to an April 2006 lawsuit filed in Florida.

Also, Susan Ott, MD, was quoted in AARP journal on this subject. Dr. Ott, an expert in osteoporosis at the University of Washington, says the drug is overused.
