Production Dates: July 2002 – January 2003 Noncompliance: The tether anchor mounting kit provided with the child safety seat, Part No. FW-50250-12-ZY, contains a washer that does not comply with the salt spray standard found in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No.213, Child Restraint Systems. The washer may rust which could weaken the part, and during a crash, the tether anchor could break causing serious injury to the child or vehicle occupant.
Corrective Action: Snug Seat will be provided a free replacement washer and mounting instructions for the tether kit to enable you to replace the noncompliant washer.
