Noncompliance: These seats do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, Child Restraint Systems. In the event of a vehicle crash, forces could cause the child's head to move further forward than allowed by Safety Standard 213, increasing the risk of head injury to the child.
Corrective Action: Safeline Kids will mail repair instructions and a revised owner’s manual. The customers are being asked to remove and discard the shoulder and buckle pads from the harness before continuing to use the seat. The shoulder and buckle pads may interfere with the harness becoming properly snug. Also, customers should only use the upper forward-facing belt path. There is no problem when the seat is used in the rear-facing position for children weighing less than 20 pounds.

Models: Sit'n'Stroll Rear-facing and Forward-facing Convertible car seats Model 2240.
Production Dates: April 1, 2001 - October 1, 2001
Noncompliance: The seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No., 213 Child Restraint Systems. The FAA Certification Statement, "This restraint is Certified for use in Motor Vehicles and Aircraft”, is in yellow lettering instead of the required RED lettering. This noncompliance has the potential of a flight attendant not allowing a parent/guardian to bring or use this product on an airplane.
Corrective Action: Safeline Kids will send corrected labels to registered owners to be placed over the existing labels.
Models: Sit'n'Stroll Rear-facing and Forward-facing Convertible car seats Model 3240
Production Dates: November 1, 1996, and June 30, 1999
Noncompliance: The seats fail to comply the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No., 213 Child Restraint Systems. The child seat was recommended for usage in the rear-facing seating configuration by children not weighing more than 25 pounds.
Corrective Action: Safeline Kids will send new labels to registered owners to be placed over the existing labels which will recommend that a child not weighing more than 22 pounds be placed in the rear-seating configuration.

Noncompliance: These seats fail to comply the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No., 213 Child Restraint Systems. The air bag warning label was omitted from the seat cover.
Corrective Action: Safeline Kids will send a new seat cover that has the required air bag warning label to owners free of charge.
