Missouri Car Seat Laws Missouri car seat safety laws require children under age four to ride in a federally approved car seat or booster seat. Children over age four but younger than 15 must be buckled in with a seat belt. Missouri law also prohibits children under age 18 from riding in an unenclosed truck bed.
