Kentucky Car Seat Laws
Kentucky car seat safety laws require children under age 4 to ride in a federally approved car seat or booster seat. Children over age 4 but less than 14 must be buckled in with a seat belt.
Kentucky also prohibits children under age 14 from riding in any part of the vehicle not intended for passengers, including in the bed of a pickup truck.
