FDA orders a tissue processing company to cease manufacturing

The FDA ordered Donor Referral Services (DRS), a Raleigh N.C. human tissue-recovery firm to immediately cease all manufacturing operations because inspections found serious problems in manufacturing process including donor screening and record keeping. The regulations require that establishments process human tissues in such a way that does not cause contamination and prevents the introduction, transmission, or spread of communicable diseases.
