Tough Illegal Tissue Harvesting Law

On July 31, 2006, Governor George Pataki signed a bill into law that toughened criminal penalties regarding crimes against illegal tissue harvesting. The law changes the offenses of illegal dissection and sale of human organs from misdemeanors to low-level felonies.
