Warning: Who should not take Tequin?

Do not take Tequin if you are allergic tany of the quinolones genre of antibiotics. Other brand names include Cipr, Zymar, Levanquin, Maxaquin, Avelox, Vigamox, Factive, Noroxin, and Floxin.

Do not take Tequin if you have a rare heart condition called congenital prolongation of the QTc interval. If any of your family members have this condition, tell your healthcare professional.

Do not take Tequin if you have low blood potassium (hypokalemia). Low blood potassium may be caused by medicines called diuretics or water pills.

Do not take Tequin if you are taking medicines ttreat an irregular heartbeat, have diabetes, or have high blood sugar or if you are pregnant or nursing.
