Were you overcharged thousands of dollars for trades that would’ve cost you far less in traditional brokerage accounts?
Were your accounts churned and churned while the trading fees became greater and greater?
Are you a senior citizen on a fixed income? Single parent? Baby boomer? Or anyone who is in shock about how badly you have been defrauded?
The office of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has filed suit against UBS Financial Services, Inc. charging it defrauded thousands of customers through its InsightOne brokerage program. Are you one of these defrauded customers?
UBS greedily moved inappropriate clients from regular brokerage accounts into these overpriced InsightOne accounts despite far higher costs for those investors, by falsely promoting InsightOne as providing personalized advice and other financial planning services.
As a result of UBS' fraudulent misconduct, InsightOne customers paid tens of millions of dollars more in InsightOne fees than they would have paid in traditional brokerage fee account commissions.
The civil lawsuit, filed in New York Supreme Court, charges UBS with violations of state anti-fraud laws, as well as common law fraud and breaches of fiduciary duty. The complaint seeks disgorgement, damages and restitution, as well as injunctive relief.
Are you a UBS victim? Talk to a law firm that can help. We have track record of helping trusting people just like you who were financially taken advantage of by unethical brokerage firms. How can we help you?
