Lisa R. Schwartz
Lisa R. Schwartz, a member of Anapol Schwartz, is recognized as being honorable, fair-minded and devoted to her clients. These qualities have helped her gain the recognition, respect and admiration of clients, colleagues and even opposing counsel. She concentrates her practice in medical malpractice, products liability, defamation and other personal injury matters.
Ms. Schwartz has served as a faculty member at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada. She was appointed to the Pennsylvania Plaintiffs' Committee for the State Orthopedic Bone Screw Litigation Program by the Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss. Ms. Schwartz has performed pro bono work with the Washington Clinic for the Homeless.
A frequent lecturer on a variety of subjects, Ms. Schwartz most recently spoke on Ethics and the Use of the Internet in the Practice of Law. She has also lobbied the Pennsylvania legislature to initiate patients' rights legislation in order to reduce the number of medical errors, injuries and deaths. This legislation would include physician background disclosure and would end mandatory overtime for nurses.
In 1986, Ms. Schwartz received her Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. She earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1989 and received her Masters of Laws Degree in Trial Advocacy in 1996 from Temple University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
