David Jacoby
David Jacoby, was a shareholder of Anapol Schwartz, believes in cooperating with opposing attorneys while zealously representing his clients, a style that has made him one of the leading litigators in New Jersey for many years. In 2008, David retired from the firm and now serves as an Of Counsel. He concentrated his practice in toxic torts, products liability and environmental litigation. Prior to joining Anapol Schwartz in 2003, Mr. Jacoby was a partner with Tomar, O’Brien, Kaplan, Jacoby & Graziano in New Jersey.
Since 1995, Mr. Jacoby served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Rutgers University. He is also a member of the Order of the Coif, a national law honor society. He belongs to the Camden, New Jersey and American Bar Associations, as well as the American and New Jersey Trial Lawyers Associations. Mr. Jacoby is a frequent lecturer for Mealey’s Insurance as well as the American Trial Lawyers Association. He has also appeared on Fox Good Day Philadelphia to discuss working with contractors after flooding. In 1989, after receiving a $12 million dollar settlement for a group of asbestos cases, Mr. Jacoby was one of five finalists for the Trial Attorney of the Year Award given by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
In 1969, Mr. Jacoby earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He received his law degree from George Washington University School of Law in 1972. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey.
