Alan Schwartz
Alan Schwartz, a Shareholder and one of the Founders of Anapol Schwartz, is recognized as one of the outstanding medical malpractice attorneys in Pennsylvania . He has been involved in cutting edge litigation throughout his career. Whether handling the first case against a landlord by a tenant who was raped by an employee with a prior criminal history, or expanding your right to sue your HMO, Mr. Schwartz is known for his attention to detail and his thorough preparation for trial. As a result, juries have awarded his clients many million-dollar verdicts. The colleagues and opponents of Mr. Schwartz acknowledge his ability to convey even the most technical information in a manner that allows juries and judges to understand the most subtle issues in a case.
One of the first attorneys certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Mr. Schwartz has served in various leadership roles for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, as well as with the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Society of Law and Medicine.
Mr. Schwartz lectures extensively on personal injury for numerous organizations. He has served as a lecturer on “Law and Dentistry” at Temple University 's School of Dentistry and as Adjunct Professor/Guest Lecturer for the Masters in Trial Advocacy Degree Program at Temple University School of Law. He has also spoken at Widener University School of Law, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, the Montgomery County Medical and Legal Conference, Thomas Jefferson Medical College and the Pennsylvania Statewide Trial Judge's Conference.
Mr. Schwartz was the President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Board of Trial Advocates in 2002 and is currently a National Board Representative. He was recently elevated in rank from Advocate to Diplomate in July 2004.
Mr. Schwartz concentrates his practice in medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability, professional liability and other personal injury matters. He received his bachelor's degree from Temple University in 1960, and his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1963. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania .
