New Pennsylvania Supreme Court Rules

PHILADELPHIA - November 8, 2004 - Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feldman and Smalley, P.C. (Anapol Schwartz) attorney Stephen J. Pokiniewski, Jr. participated in the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association's Program entitled, New Pennsylvania Supreme Court Rules.  Mr. Pokiniewski served as a lecturer at the event held October 29, 2004.  His presentation discussed the new Pennsylvania Supreme Court rules relating to medical malpractice cases.

Mr. Pokiniewski, a partner with Anapol Schwartz, concentrates his practice in medical malpractice and other personal injury matters.  He has broad experience in managed care cases, including representing clients in landmark cases involving ERISA pre-emption and the ability to sue Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs).  In 1982, Mr. Pokiniewski earned his Bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University, and in 1985 received his law degree from Temple University School of Law.  Upon graduation, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Leonard Sugarman, President Judge of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.

A member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations, Mr. Pokiniewski is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and before the United States Supreme Court.  He is a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations in his fields of expertise.
