Nathaniel E.P. Ehrlich, Esquire Appointed Regional Attorney for the Professional Lacrosse Players' Association
PHILADELPHIA - October 4, 2004 - Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feldman and Smalley, P.C. (Anapol Schwartz) attorney Nathaniel E.P. Ehrlich has been appointed Regional Attorney for the Professional Lacrosse Players' Association (PLPA) at their annual meeting. The PLPA is the bargaining agent for the National Lacrosse League, which includes ten teams across the country, including the Philadelphia Wings.
A partner with Anapol Schwartz, Mr. Ehrlich concentrates his practice in labor law, in particular, the representation of professional athletes, sports litigation and sports workers' compensation. He also handles workers' compensation, disability, medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. More specifically, Mr. Ehrlich handles many workers' compensation claims for professional athletes, including football, baseball and hockey players. He is an author of a chapter on Trainer and Team Physician Liability in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine, published by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Mr. Ehrlich is a member of the National Football League (NFL) Players' Association Workers' Compensation Panel, Co-Chair of the Professional Hockey Players' Association Workers' Compensation Panel, the Ethics Committee of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the NFL Players' Association Astro-Turf Committee and the Sports Law Committee of the American Bar Association. He also served as Assistant to Staff Counsel for the NFL Players Association, and prior to becoming an attorney, was an assistant trainer with the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles. He lectures frequently about sports medicine and the representation of athletes.
In 1980, Mr. Ehrlich earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College. He received his law degree from Duquesne University in 1983. Following law school, Mr. Ehrlich was a law clerk with the Honorable Alfred J. DiBona, Jr., of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
