READING, PA - February 18, 2005 - Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feldman & Smalley, P.C. (Anapol Schwartz) attorney Nathaniel E.P. Ehrlich recently participated in a presentation at the Inns of Court in Reading, Pennsylvania on workers' compensation for professional athletes. The program took place on January 21, 2005.
A partner of Anapol Schwartz, Mr. Ehrlich concentrates his practice in labor law, in particular, the representation of professional athletes, sports litigation, and sports workers' compensation. He also handles workers' compensation, disability, medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. More specifically, Mr. Ehrlich handles many workers' compensation claims for professional athletes including football, hockey and baseball players. He is an author of a chapter on Training and Team Physician Liability in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine, published by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Mr. Ehrlich is a member of the National Football League (NFL) Players Association Workers' Compensation Panel, Co-Chair of the Professional Hockey Players Association Workers' Compensation Panel, the Ethics Committee of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the NFL Players Association Astro-Turf Committee and the Sports Law Committee of the American Bar Association. He has also served as Assistant to Staff Counsel for the NFL Players Association, and, prior to becoming an attorney, was an assistant trainer with the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles. He lectures frequently about sports medicine and the representation of athletes.
In 1980, Mr. Ehrlich earned his bachelor's degree from Juniata College. He received his law degree from Duquesne University in 1983. Following law school, Mr. Ehrlich was a law clerk with the Honorable Alfred J. DiBona, Jr. of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
