"Medicare, Medicaid & ERISA Rights of Reimbursement from Tort Recoveries - Getting the Most for Your Client"
PHILADELPHIA - October 20, 2004 - Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feldman and Smalley, P.C. (Anapol Schwartz) attorneys Joel D. Feldman and Sol H. Weiss served as Course Faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Program entitled, "Medicare, Medicaid & ERISA Rights of Reimbursement from Tort Recoveries - Getting the Most for Your Client" held on October 19, 2004 at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia. Mr. Feldman served as the Course Moderator and Planner. Mr. Weiss was a speaker at the event, discussing Medicare subrogation liens and how to minimize the effects of liens against a client's settlement.
Mr. Feldman, Managing Partner of Anapol Schwartz, concentrates his practice in securities and stockbroker liability litigation, medical and legal malpractice, nursing home malpractice and liability, products liability, automobile accident litigation and other personal injury claims. He is a frequent course planner, moderator and lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute as well as the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations. Mr. Feldman is a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association, which exclusively represents investors against brokerage firms in stock fraud and stock loss cases. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations and the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Trial Lawyers Associations. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and his law degree from Villanova University School of Law. Upon graduation, he served as a Judicial Clerk in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Mr. Weiss concentrates his practice in complex civil litigation, including class actions, pharmaceutical cases, medical and other professional malpractice, securities litigation and products liability matters. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1968 and his law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1972. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania as well as being specially admitted to practice in other states.
Mr. Weiss is currently President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Board of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a frequent lecturer on class actions, pharmaceutical liability, civil litigation issues, trial skills and technology in the courtroom. He has lectured for many professional groups, including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Mealey's, the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations and the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations. Mr. Weiss is also a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association. He serves as an active member of the Board of Consultors of the Villanova University School of Law and has served as a Director of the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation.
